A Vogue Writer Seeks Latex Advice from The Baroness

Maria Ward wrote an Article in Vogue, where she discussers visiting The Baroness for advice on wearing latex for an evening out.

“After calling several of the city’s more fashionable adult shops, including The Pleasure Chest (of Sex and the City fame) and coming up empty-handed, I found what I was looking for at The Baroness Latex—a latex-only boutique in the East Village where celebrities like Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Madonna, Katy Perry, and even Kylie Jenner have all turned to for their various latex fashion needs.”

The Baroness’ Kink’n’Draw in Bedford + Bowery

The Baroness' Kink'n'DrawMy monthly Kink’n’Draw, an intimate gathering of people with art supplies (some of them talented) and a pair of kinky models for inspiration, takes place the 2nd Tuesday of every month at Lucky, 168 Avenue B, between 10th & 11th Streets, NYC, starting around 7:30 PM. I alternate hosting the event each month with Lady Zombie.

J.Oliver Conroy  did a nice write-up of the event for Bedford + Bowery magazine.

People with Purpose

“People with Purpose”: a Do-Good, Shopping, and Social Event

Wednesday, August 30, 6:00-8:00 PM

2nd Ave & 64th Thrift Shop (1222 2nd Ave)

My friend Purely Patricia has gathered together a talented band of creative New Yorkers (myself included) and curated and styled for auction seven mannequins to showcase both us and our works. Join me and other creative “People with Purpose”, sip champagne, and shop!

I want a huge swath of latex lovers to create a sensation and help raise money for Housing Works, while drinking champagne and shopping! You can place your final bids (online bidding opens August 17th here) on this exquisite collection of eclectic designer goods while rubbing elbows with the artists.

“Housing Works is a healing community of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Our mission is to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS through relentless advocacy, the provision of lifesaving services, and entrepreneurial businesses that sustain our efforts.”
